Charles – the first born of Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne upon her passing. Charles Philip Arthur George and Baton Windsor is the King’s complete name. He had the option of using any of his names for his official royal title. However, the new King decided to go by Charles III and chose to use his first name.

Camilla

Previously known as The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla is now known as the Queen consort. There was conjecture concerning King Charles’s wife – Camilla’s position when he succeeded as Monarch in the years before his accession. Although Camilla officially became the Princess of Wales, when she wed the King, she never used the title due to its associations with princess Diana as previously reported by Insider. But before she pass away, the Queen said she wanted Camilla to be known as the Queen consort, and the King confirmed he would do so in the first speech he made following his mother’s passing by referring to Camilla as the Queen Consort. Due to the fact that Queen is only used for female monarchs like Queen Elizabeth, Camilla’s title also includes consort.

Prince William is now Prince of Wales

Prince William is now Prince of Wales. In his first speech to the United Kingdom after ascending to the throne, King Charles III declared that his eldest son – William would become the next prince of Wales. Wales has not had a new prince since 1958 when Queen Elizabeth announce Charles would be Prince of Wales.

According to Town and Country dots since Princess Diana’s death, the title of Princess of Wales has never been held by diffedrant member of the royal family. Princess Catherine’s appointment as the Princess of Wales was announced by King Charles during the same speech.

With Catherine beside him, our Prince and Princess of Wales will – I know – continue to inspire and lead our national conservations, helping to bring the marginal to the center ground where essential help maybe offered. Since the passing of Princess Diana in 1997, no one has use the title.

Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William and Princess Catherine also assumed the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall. William and Kate are now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge, after assuming Charles and Camilla’s former titles of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall. Prior to King Charles’s announcement that they would become the prince and princess of Wales, their Twitter account briefly named them as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge, even the name of Prince William’s offspring have changed a little.

Prince William’s children and his descendant can now add of Wales to their titles because he is the Prince of Wales. They are identified as Prince George of Wales, Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince Louis of Wales on the Royal family website. While Charlotte and Louis are third and fourth in line, George’s second, the children of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are technically princes and princesses.

Even though the monarchy hasn’t yet revealed what their new titles will be, Archie and Lilibet who are sixth and seventh in line to the throne can uses the titles prince and princess after the death of the Queen, according to a 1917 letters patent issued by King George V. According to King George’s edict, the Monarch’s grandchildren and offspring are entitled to use the titles only by virtue of being the monarchs direct ancestors. On the webste of the royal family, they are still identified as Master Archie and Miss Lilibet.

Prince Edward

Possibly soon, Prince Edward’s title will also change, although Prince Edward presently holds the title of Earl of Wessex. It was announced in 1999 that King Charles, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip had agreed that Edward would be elevated to the position of Duke of Edinburgh upon Philip’s passing. According to Vanity Fair, when Prince Philip passed away in 2021, King Charles III immediately became the Duke of Edinburgh. As reported by people, the Duke of Edinburgh has not yet been given to his brother.
